On September 5, 2017, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, on behalf of the Trump Administration, announced an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA protects 800,000 immigrant youth from deportation and gives them the freedom to seek higher education, to work and to live their lives. The decision puts immigrant youth and their families at tremendous risk.
