Donor Engagement Manager
The Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing
Donor Engagement Manager
National - Remote
The Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing is a philanthropic intermediary that brings funders and youth organizers together to ensure that young people have the resources, capacities, and infrastructure they need to fight for a more just and democratic society. FCYO believes that to move toward justice, BlPOC youth, working class young people, young women, and queer and trans youth have a critical role to play in transforming economic and social conditions. To build this kind of power, youth organizing must build bases at significant scale, develop broad strategic alliances, and elevate public narratives that promote our vision of social justice and true democracy. Our work is grounded in our close relationships with the youth organizing field and a commitment to meaningful partnerships between funders and youth organizers.
The Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing (FCYO) seeks a passionate and multi-talented candidate with a commitment to building resources for youth led social change to fill a new Donor Engagement Manager (DEM) position. The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to social justice, knowledge of youth organizing, experience with philanthropy, individual donor fundraising experience, strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic, fluid workplace environment. In addition, the DEM will manage FCYO’s Board Funder Organizing Committee which seeks to develop a coordinated strategy for building philanthropic support for youth organizing.
Fundraising (35%): The DEM will develop and manage FCYO’s new individual donor fundraising program. This includes meeting with potential new donors, prospecting, managing donor relationships, and organizing donor events. The DEM will also coordinate a team of staff, volunteers, youth organizers, and board members who all maintain donor relationships and make annual asks. The DEM may also support our Development Manager with institutional fundraising and grant writing and reporting as needed and support special fundraising campaigns on behalf of FCYO such as the Youth Power Pledge Campaign.
